Basically there are prisms in the glasses that disperse the colors based on their color frequencies and enhance the bending of the light. It is the same as when a rainbow is made by the refraction and bending of light through rain drops. The blue colors bend more and red warm colors not as much, like the top and bottom of a rainbow. This method is preferred to the red/blue method where two images are produced because it is better for colors and does not provide the user with as much eye strain. I get eye strain from 3D effects, I much prefer the prismatic process, the one Crayola uses.
