Description: For auction is a wonderful large Art and Crafts Style floor vase made by The Nelson McCoy Pottery company of Roseville, Ohio. The vase is considered a floor vase or oil jar. The vase is done in one of Mccoy's most subtle glazes. This vase is very large as it measures 12" tall and it has a diameter of 9" at the shoulder. The foot has a diameter of 5" and the top opening is 5" inside measurement and 6 3/16" outside lip measurement. This floor vase has a Grecian Urn or Oil Jar shape. This floor vase displays a tapered swollen shoulder form. It has a small raised neck and it sits flat on any surface. It has a nice semi matte white glaze throughout. In the McCoy catalog this was called an "Oil Jar".This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are several pin pops which is quite common for McCoy Pottery glazes. The vase is marked on the underside bottom with McCoy's impressed mark. This vase was made circa 1935-1940 based on the mark. I can honestly say that this is a very nice example of this form and glaze from McCoy Pottery. It is quite heavy and solid as it weighs 7 pounds 11 ounces. I'm quite sure the buyer will be very pleased with their purchase. This would look Great on that Stickley, Mission, Arts and Crafts style bookcase. This is also a great decorators piece for the home or office. PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
