Description: I am offering a very rare New England Glass Company bowl made in “Wild Rose” Peach Blow shading from deep rose to cream white at the base. The deep blue ‘splotches’ were an added decor patented by Joseph Locke in January 1887. These AGATA items were created for about one year. The process included covering the article in a metallic stain, then naphtha, alcohol or benzene was spattered over it. As the flammable liquid evaporated in a muzzle, the surface mottling was fixed. This particular art glass bowl has a unique pattern, seldom seen on AGATA, more ‘designed’ than splattered in my opinion. It is also well known that the Pairpoint Manufacturing Company worked hand in hand with New England Glass Company. This is a great piece for the advanced collector. I have managed to select many items in pristine condition that are over 100 years of age. This is just one of them. Let the photos become part of the description. Feel free to request more photos or information. I do not offer returns on antiques. However, if you have a concern upon delivery please contact me immediately thru ebay. I am an experienced shipper, no worries. Fully insured. FREE SHIPPING & FREE INSURANCE. Pam Wojcik
