Description: This is a Filipino made plastic ethnic doll of an Apache maiden in a Puberty Ceremony costume. I have included a picture of the attached label that has the explanation of this costume and the rite. The designer of this and other Sandy dolls is Ruben Tejada. This doll is named Princess Bright Sky and she stands slightly over 15 " tall and is about 6" wide and about 3 1/4" in depth. Her clothes are made of suede leather with extensive bead work decoration, a simulated stone necklace and earrings and a beaded choker. Her hair is in an authentic Southwest Native American Hair style and is tied in the back. She is also wearing suede leather, decorated foot wear. This is an extremely lovely and well made doll.
