It discusses creating the Congressional Bill to make the Memorial, as well as the Design Competition, along with the creative processes that evolved into the final appearance of the Memorial. The Memorial is dedicated to Americans who served in the armed forces and as civilians during World War II. It is located on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.. It opened on April 29, 2004, and it was dedicated by President George W. Bush on May 29, 2004.
