Description: A darling, brunette NASB Nancy Ann Storybook doll - #185 Saturday’s Child Must Work for a Living - 5.5" tall! She comes with her wrist tag, broom and original box! Frozen leg, jointed arms, painted black shoes with no nicks to the paint. She is in wonderful, unplayed with condition, clean and smells good. Her original dress is crisp, silky, with a red and white swirling pattern, embroidered ribbon trim around the bottom of the skirt with matching trim at the waist, an attached red nylon apron with a big ruffle at the bottom. Her dress has an attached long nylon underslip. This dress closes with a red ribbon which means it was made during WWII. Her hat is a red ruffle sewn on a red ribbon. She is wearing long polished cotton pettipants. She has her broom (she is a working girl! :~) and her gold wrist tag. Such a sweet little thing, looking for a new home where she can be out and appreciated, instead of in a doll closet! She also comes with her original box - totally intact with a still shiny finish. The white background has aged to a golden creamy color. The box has a silver label on the end that states, Saturday’s Child Must Work For a Living 185. She is part of the Dolls of the Day Series. A doll dressed just like her can be seen on page 256 in the Encyclopedia of Bisque Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls 1936-1947 by Elaine M. Pardee and Jackie Robertson (the Red Book.)
