Description: 1982 BASEBALL HALL OF FAME METALLIC PLAQUE CARD ~NAPOLEON LARRY LAJOIE~ NAPOLEON LARRY LAJOIE BASEBALL HALL OF FAME METALLIC PLAQUE CARD. Played for Philadelphia (N) 1896-1900, Philadelphia (A) 1901, 1915-1916 and Cleveland 1902-1914. Nice near-mint to mint condition, please see scanned photo of actual card. This is from my personal collection obtained at time of release in 1982; the complete series ran from 1981-1989. Produced in a limited quantity with only 1,000 impressions of each card manufactured and available only through the Cooperstown National Baseball Hall of Fame gift shop. Each plaque is an exact replica, in gold anodized aluminum, of the member's official Hall of Fame plaque in standard card size 2 ½” x 3 ½”. This card is from the Ninth Series, issued in 1982, the third set of the 1982 issue. As per Daniel A. Blacksmith, the exclusive manufacturer of these metal Hall of Fame Cards: “Your metal plaque cards are carefully produced by hand. The photographically sharp images are sealed under a glass-clear, sapphire-hard anodized aluminum surface. The plates are unharmed by moisture, salt spray, solvents, lubricants, fungus, weathering and most corrosive atmospheres and temperature extremes.
