Description: This Nakamichi RX-505 3-Head UDAR Audiophile Cassette is the deck for vintage audio enthusiasts. With its sleek black color and top-notch quality, this unit is sure to impress. Features the best combination of perfect autoreverse (UDAR) and with 3 discreet heads it makes very good recordings (I consider them better sounding than the source if levels and bias are adjusted to match a quality cassette). Also it makes for a great show every time UDAR rotates the cassette. I restored two of these, one just sold and this is the last one to sell. This unit has been fully serviced and is 100% operational. Transport and UDAR were removed, opened and fully serviced (relubricated, new belts and quality idler tire, full mech and audio adjustments). All pots and switches got Deoxit. Levels adjusted for audio performance. Will re-inspect and redo testing before shipping. Cosmetics are 8/10 due to a few imperfections as seen in photos. The top was painted matte black and is perfect. Front face almost perfect, cassette door shield is original and great, no broken tabs. All lights and buttons work. Recommend local pickup to test in person. If shipping, will be well packaged (UDAR tray is sensitive) and fully insured with signature at delivery. If possible, I’ll upgrade shipping.
