Description: Nakamichi Early 3 Head Model 582Well known Nakamichi Tech Stephen Sank claimed that it can reproduce 18Hz to 24 Khz at -20dB- a phenomenal response for a cassette recorder.Dual Capstan with Pressure Pad Lifter - reason for wonderful Sound. Metal Tape Compatible with individual tape model could be manually calibrated for correct Record bias and Level Most of the circuit uses discrete transistors Its analog metering will display even 15Khz bias tone correctly If you have not heard 582 series , it is as good as 68X series recorder in sound quality department without extra features of those models but will sound exceedingly sweet as Nakamichi should. Since it is clearly vintage recorder and small issues are to be expected like switch may have to be pressed twice to get the contacts to engage correctly. But i have not found anything that can be termed as needing repair Please note that replacing old Electrolytic Capacitors on the Power Supply may be good practice. So if the actual buyer wants replacement done, i can get that done for additional labor/parts cost.however I have already replaced few Orange Colored PP Capacitors in the Bias Oscillator. I had published the Orange Cap disease note in Naktalk forum/website - one of the early to recommend this 20 years back!I have been servicing Nakamichi recorders for the past twenty years and have original Nakamichi alignment tapes/jigs for servicing Please ask questions if you want o know more about this recorderShipping outside US needs asking for the shipping costs as Ebay may not show correct rates
