Description: If you have a harbor scene, protect shipping and lives with this model of a United States Coast Guard 40 foot utility boat kit. These came on the scene in the late 1940's . Some assembly and drilling and painting required. It's great for a rescue, patrol or just tied up at the dock. This is a waterline 3 D print kit. Decals included for the racing stripe and non racing stripe versions. The peel and stick decals include pre 1967 non racing stripe and post 1967 racing stripe versions. According to one my USCG friends that I've met working on these USCG models, most of the 40 footers were phased out in favor of the newer 41 footers coming into service and did not get the racing stripe. On another note, the engine covers made for a good place to nap on a long mission. Crew figures not included nor is the background Liberty Ship.
