Description: In 1916 Ward LaFrance began building fire apparatus. The founder had worked for relatives at American LaFrance before starting out on his own. The P80 Ambassador is arguably one of the most recognizable fire trucks ever having served as Engine 51 in the TV show Emergency. This was from the second season until the end of the series. Ward LaFrance used this cab for several other types like tiller tractors, ladders, snorkels and an occasional rescue. It will look great at a fire scene, firehouse, flat car load, or in a parade. This is a model of a Ward LaFrance Canopy Cab with a Walk in Rescue body and Rescue Fire Boat . The shops have redesigned the rescue boat and trailer. It's now set up for just about any kind of water emergency. The boat has a center console and various parts for the modeler to set it up different ways. It can serve as a fire or police boat. The top now has a radar and life raft. The boat and trailer scales out to about 13 scale feet so if you layout has low bridges be careful. I would consider this boat a semi water line model which would make the boat at home displayed on the trailer or in the water. Some flash removal and painting required. These were built to fill the gaps on the sellers own N Scale layout. Comments and questions always welcome. I gladly combine shipping on N Scale models. Buy multiples items and get them all shipped for the same price. Be sure to check out my other auctions. I have fire, military, police, circus and misc trucks for sale.
