The protection is at the same level as the performance filter and the "HE" filter, only for a shorter time due to the much more open structure of the foam materials. Unlike all other sport filters, the racing filter creates a much better and more even airflow to all cylinders, meaning you need to tailor the fuel delivery of all cylinders separately to achieve the maximum effect of the "HE" filter.
