Description: By Dorothy Kilgallen. Kilgallen, in the mix on cases from Sam Sheppard to the assassination of John F. Kennedy to...Sinatra?, was one of the first 500 personages to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and her true-crime writing is now highly sought-after. You have to wonder how the genre would look if she'd stayed in it longer... This hardcover is a 1967 Book Club Edition with a worn jacket; some edge- and cornerwear, much of it repaired with scotch tape at previous stops. Spine has a slight forward lean, and around p 20, the hinge is a bit weak, as shown. Pages relatively snug, however. Inside, a previous owner's book "seal," as shown; toning to the pages, not out of line with age; no other writing or dog-ears that I could see. Overall, not the prettiest (except for Dot herself on the back jacket cover, of course), but will get the job done as a reading copy.
