Description: Mucha Necklace Large Art Nouveau Brass Locket Pendant. It measures about 1 1/2" long from the top center by 1 1/4" and the chain is about 18" around. The locket itself is about 1 1/4" round. This is an image that Alphonse Mucha painted of his wife, as the likeness of Slavia, Goddess of Bohemia. My husband and I ran a curiosities shop in Laguna Beach, California for many years. When we left the business, we sold our entire inventory except for the jewelry. A lot of these pieces were made by various local artists from the 1960’s to the 1990’s using both new and recycled components. The silver pieces we sell are primarily purchased at a flea market near Mexico City and at the outdoor market in Taxco. If you like this, you should check out some of the other auctions.
