Description: GOOD CONDITION This sale is for a vintage hardback edition entitled “Orville College,” subtitled “A Novel,” by Mrs Henry Wood (1814–1887). It was published by Macmillan and Co., Limited, of London, in 1913 and states “Eighty-Ninth Thousand”. Ellen Wood always used her husband's name (Henry was an important banker and shipping agent) in her books some of which revealed her strong views on religion and social issues. The book measures 7 inches x 4.75 inches and has 472 pages. The book is in good, neat condition for its age, with minor wear/bumps and is a little grubby and is faded to the spine of the original cloth hardback cover. There are NO inscriptions/book-plates and NO other ink or pencil markings in the book. The binding is good with no loose or missing pages (lining papers split at the hinges inside the boards but all is secure). There is no dust-jacket. A wonderful vintage edition.
