This set is intended to hang up on the wall or string out in other places. We used to put it on our tree, the plug-in is long enough. The operation is simple with the one red-button on the green box. You can soften the music by tapping down on the red-button to lower the volume. To turn it off, simply hold the button down until All the lights and the music stops.
