The obverse side shows a Portuguese text, the president of FRELIMO, Eduardo Mondlane, the coat of arms, five FRELIMO soldiers raising a flag on 25 June 1975 at Machava stadium in Louren Marques (Maputo), and reed inside cog as a registration device. The reverse side features a Portuguese text, a reed inside cog, a bank logo, and a star-shaped monument with flags in Pra dos Hers (Square of Heroes) in Maputo. This banknote uses a solid security thread with printed MOMBIQUE and contains a watermark with a Joaquim Chissano design. It is also in uncirculated condition and authenticated by Banknote World experts.
