At the bottom end is a caged 8 ball held within steel rings laced together. Each Biker whip is woven directly to a quick release panic-clip that can be attached to either the brake or clutch lever. With a quick downward pull of the sliding lock gate, the biker whip can be released quickly in case of "emergency." History There's a history behind old-school biker or "getback" whips. You'd see bikers sporting whips - hanging from their clutch or brake levers as they rode. The leather whips were usually made from the biker's club colors - to display their colors and for club recognition. But the whips were a whole lot more than just leather club colors. A biker whip could be quickly released "in case of emergency." Although many old-school biker whips are used by motorcycle club members, you don't have to be affiliated with a club to ride with the distinctive, old-school look.
