Description: It's Mortal Kombat 3, the third entry in the legendary fighting game franchise! The Outworld's plans to take over Earthrealm have been foiled twice now by the heroic efforts of the Shaolin warrior Liu Kang, yet Shao Kahn isn't done trying to take over Earthrealm yet! In his most devious scheme yet he brings back his late Empress Sindel in Earthrealm so he can cross over and claim her, creating an apocalyptic catastrophe in the process! Liu Kang and other champions of Earthrealm set out to stop him! It was a hotly anticipated game at the time and delivered in many ways! Sonya Blade and Kano made their long-awaited return with updated designs, Sub-Zero got a whole new look that broke from the traditional MK ninja attire, Kung Lao's new look was well received, and Jax got bionic arms that became a signature part of his design in later games! Some of the newcomers were solid, too, with Tusken raider-inspired Kabal and cyborg ninja Cyrax being fixtures in arcades back in the day and Motaro making for a challenging boss with a unique centaur design! This is also when Shao Kahn was at his most brutal if you reached the top of the ladder so you'd better have a solid command of the new Run feature and button input combos! Yet where was Scorpion, Mileena, Kitana, and Reptile and why did Smoke make it back as a cyborg yet Jade and Noob Saibot didn't? Ultimate would fix those gripes but sadly I sold that one already, sorry. As mentioned, the game was tested and confirmed to work at the time of the listing. There's some scratches on the back plastic and a slight tear near the bottom of the side on the insert but everything is included. The manual is lightly wrinkled from reading but legible with no writing. It's still a good addition to any retro fighting game collection so give it a look!
