Morita Gil VINTAGE Lapis Lazuli Female Torso Sculpture w/ Dolomite Marble Base

Description: SOLD AS IS / ALL SALES FINAL For your consideration: A rare, vintage lapis lazuli sculpture with a dolomite marble base by Chilean artist Morita Gil who was known for her lapis lazuli jewelry pieces. This item was acquired from an estate sale in Boca Raton, Florida and is quite stunning! The item consists of two separate pieces: a dolomite marble base topped with a beautiful female lapis lazuli torso. There is a short rod that juts out of the base for the sole purpose of mounting the torso. Please see the photos provided. Please note: this piece is not numbered or signed; COA (certificate of authenticity) / LOA (letter of authenticity) was not available at the time it was purchased at the estate sale.There is a rectangular tag on the base which features a Morita Gil replica signature (copy written) and the words "HECHO A MANO CHILE" which translates to "MADE BY HAND CHILE." I believe this was purchased in the country of Chile when the original owner was on holiday there. This item is in very good condition except for a few chips and cracks on the base - please see the photos with the red circles. The torso is in excellent condition. Item will be packed carefully with plenty of bubble wrap, packing peanuts and extra cardboard for support; will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail with insurance.
