Description: 20.5" wide by 9.5" tall framed photo of Dye House & Bleachery Dept. workers from Mooresville, NC cotton mills, circa May 22, 1935. This was prior to the mill being flooded to create Lake Norman. Photo depicts the workers from this department posing in front of the mill. Sepia tone photo which I assume is reprinted due to the way the water damage looks on the bottom right corner. I picked this up from a collector's estate. The frame is rough, the back is rougher. The photo is also flawed: Damage to photo in several areas: Bottom right corner- water marks, Bottom row man second from right, pant area has damage, Center row second from right, damage to face area. I took closeups of all the areas of damage I noticed. It is still a very cool piece for anyone who loves local history, especially like this, in which the mill sits underwater beneath people boating and swimming daily who often forget what is down there. Thanks for looking!
