Description: Monumental Vintage Alfredo Barbini Double Fish Sculpture Description and Item Information Up for sale is this huge Alfredo Barbini Italian art glass sculpture or figurine. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This piece depicts two fish. The fish are cased sommerso glass, with tiny bubbles inside. The fish are fused to a domed base. There is minor gold foil decoration. The piece stands approximately 23 1/4 inches tall, and it is about 15 1/8 inches long and 8 7/8 inches wide. It is quite heavy, weighing about 33 pounds. This would be a fine addition to a collection of vintage Venetian art glass. Identification This unsigned piece is vintage Murano art glass by Alfredo Barbini. The exact age is not known. Condition The sculpture looks very good overall, with no chips or cracks. It has light wear, with a scattered, fine scratch here or there.
