Description: Elegant and classic, this is a vintage 17" Mikimoto Akoya saltwater pearl strand choker length necklace in excellent condition. (17" is the total length including the clasp). Perfect for any occasion from everyday to formal. The large pearls are lovely and luminous, more beautiful in person (pearls are difficult to photograph). There are 50 8-7.5mm large pearls which are a creamy ivory color with a hint of pink. This has a signed Mikimoto clasp in sterling silver with a small pearl, properly hallmarked with the M in a shell logo and a tiny SIL mark. It was well cared for and is in wonderful condition. The pearls are knotted on silk, with knots between each pearl, the silk is tight and clean, ready to wear. These will come in the vintage Mikimoto checked leather-like case shown. Included is a pair of matching unsigned 7.6mm Akoya pearl screw on earrings, that appear to be the same quality pearls as the necklace.
