Description: This is an antique silverplated bridal basket made by Middletown Plate Company with an American Victorian pattern. The basket was made between 1864-1899 and has a Victorian style. It measures approximately 12" x 8" x 5" tall (6" tall with handle down, 11" tall with handle in the upright position. ). Model 1779 is stamped on the bottom along with a round maker's mark with scale logo that says Middletown Plate Co, Middletown CT, quadruple plate. Floral design with a male and female figure on each end. Lots of beautiful detail. This would be perfect for a wedding. Condition is good+ to very good. I see some spots where the plate is missing or damaged. There is a water ring inside. I only washed it and gave it a light polish with a cloth to show the wonderful detail.
