Description: A solid walnut off-white lacquered midcentury modern credenza or cabinet made by the Davis Cabinet Co. of Nashville, Tennessee in the 1950s. The light ivory commode features two (2) large cabinet style doors, each with 16 elongated hexagonal shaped accents in a medium toned contrasting natural walnut wood finish with sleek brass and black faux shagreen pulls. The interior of the sideboard has a large single (1) shelf. The lacquer and wood accent sections have been refreshed, making the console as close to mint as an item from the early sixties could be. Originally retailed by the New York City luxury department store Bonwit Teller.
