He finished his Bachelors of Science degree in biblical studies from College of Biblical Studies, a teacher certification in Business Education from Texas State University, and online certification training from Lone Star College. He was the recipient of the 2009 Teacher of the Year award in Spring I.S.D. and the 2009 Teacher of the year for the Spring I.S.D.
