Description: Micromosaic Necklace Birds Scarab Beetle Pendant Locket Italy For your consideration, this stunning antique micro mosaic pendant locket necklace with two doves and a scarab beetle. The micromosaic is in excellent of condition. Nice patina on the gilded gold vermeil. Measures roughly 67 mm long from top of the bail to the longest festoon drop 37 mm wide. Locket opening in the back is roughly 20 mm x 16 mm wide with glass intact. Glass has a little chip on one side as shown in the photos. The glass frame lifts off and you can place a photo or whatever treasure you'd like inside. Bail opening is roughly7.5 mm wide, as to accommodate your favorite chain. There is minimal to no tesserae loss in the mosaics that I can detect (the tiny handmade glass tile pieces) including a few recessed pieces.
