HOLD THE FLAME TO THEM WITHOUT TOUCHING THE MATCH OR LIGHTER TO THE DELICATE MATERIAL. THE MANTELS WILL SHRINK UP INTO A SMALLER ROUND SHAPE. LET THEM COOL DOWN COMPLETELY. THEN YOU CAN TURN THE GAS ON AND LIGHT THEM AGAIN. AFTER THE MANTELS SHRINK UP THEY ARE BASICALLY ASH AND VERY DELICATE SO BE GENTLE. ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES THE OILS FROM SKIN WITH AFFECT MANTLE.
