Usage Suggestions 1. Select an image and imagine that you are giving advice to your best friend on how best to behave in such a situation. Repeat the process imagining yourself as your own best friend. Have your recommendations changed? What did you feel doing them? 2. For the group: Take one or more cards from the deck and describe the situation depicted as you understand it. Ask others how they would handle the situation. Choose from their answers those that would be useful to you, tell others about it. 3. Take the animal card blindly and describe that side of that animal that you have and that you find useful for yourself. Take a blind situational map and think about how the quality of the animal in question might be useful in that situation. 4. Lay the animal cards face up on the table. When considering how you would like to act in a stressful situation, choose an animal card that represents the quality needed in that situation. Show the card and describe the picture with words that describe that quality. Blindly take out a situation card and place it next to the animal. What situation does this combination give rise to? How would you behave in this situation? What do the two cards have in common? 5. Choose the animal card that best describes you, then the cards that represent your colleague/boss/partner, naming the characteristics of each card. Choose a situation card that represents a typical situation involving all of you. 6. Collection of Ideas: The situation card is placed face up in the center of the table, and each participant asks a question that might arise in such a situation. This exercise will be useful for a group of colleagues or in a training session.
