Description: Set of 2 sterling silver mint julep cups by Meriden Britannia, though possibly produced under the International Silver brand, and feature gold plate on the inside.Stamped with Meriden Britannia hallmark, STERLING, 697 (pattern number).Due to exposure to the air and the way these cups were stacked together and stored, they have each developed a very dark patina in different areas, one mainly on the outside and the other mainly on the inside.Both are monogrammed, one with AFC and the other LMC.Slightly different measurements, AFC measures about 3" tall with a 2-3/4" diameter, while LMC measures about 2-15/16" tall with 2-11/16" diameter.Comes in original fiberboard/pleather storage case, which shows plenty of wear from age and past handling.Combined weight of 83.8 dwt (pennyweight).
