Description: This Mercury antique outboard motor factory tool is for the Mercury outboard mechanic who is committed to doing the job right the first time. This is Mercury part number # C-91-31400A1. There is suppose to be a swivel cup on the end of the threaded rod that is missing. You can make one or use as is. Still functional and working condition. It is used to correctly press the piston pins without damaging the connecting rods or pistons. This tool is used on Mercury outboards with pistons up to 2 3/4" diameter. I can't tell you how many times this tool has come in handy for me. I use one just like it on almost all the engines that require power head disassemble including OMC and Scott-Atwater outboards.
