Description: 7139. this is a rare historical item being one of the oldest dance schools in E. Tennessee still in operation. this school opened in 1928 by two sisters; Reese Holloway a dancer and Wilma Holloway a piano player who had a great idea and the magic began. the school was a success and Classical Ballet was their biggest joy having turned out some fine dancers through the years. this menu was from a production event held at the old Jr. High Theater in 1954 that was down town in Johnson City Tn. which was often used for their productions & some events were also held at the John Sevier Ballroom down town. the school is still in operation after 90 years, how about that track record. this is in very good collectible condition having bent corners but clean and unmarked. the paper menu is a medium blue color and the color is better than my pictures show; for some reason the blue did not show well. this menu lists many if not all of the dancers that made this event possible naming their contribution to the "A la Carte" production. thank you for looking and look the school up on line for some interesting facts about the beginning and present qualities of the school.
