Description: Sicura SA was founded in Grenchen in 1934. In the 1970s, it sold watches for both the general public and the high-end market under the Sicura brand. These watches often use Breitling chronograph movements.Sicura grew out of a company called “Joh. Gobber, Horlogerie” founded in 1939. Then, in 1951, the company was listed as “Sicura, Joh. Gobber”, and finally, on May 2, 1955, the company appeared in the Swiss Commercial Register as “Montres Sicura SA”. The company was owned by Théodore Sfaellos, and when he died in the early 1960s, Sicura was taken over by his son-in-law Ernest Frédéric Schneider.
