Description: 3 Novelty Silk Greetings Antique Postcards.1900s.EMB,Gold Trim,1 Glitter NICE This is a very nice lot of 3 NOVELTY postcards that are UNIQUE and DESIRABLE. These postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. These are NOVELTY postcards because they have SILK in the picture design of the postcard. This type of silk texture was not used too often, because it was an extra step and it cost more to manufacture. Also, one of these has GLITTER all around the design and message. These are postcards that will keep their value. These are Novelty GREETINGS postcards with them saying "Greetings From ... ". These were published to be sent as a souvenir from a particular city. These postcards also have beautiful BORDERS, which adds to their beauty. One of the postcards has glitter and it has a wavy bluish border. It says "Greetings from Arcadia", and it has red roses, blue flowers and birds. The red rose in the middle is silk. Another postcard shows a rural scene on the right, and a red and pink (both silk) on the left with other flowers. This is from "Memphis" and has a nice white, green, and yellow flower border. The last postcard shows flowers on the left with a nice gold trim border. The pink flower is made out of silk, and this postcard is from Nebraska. These are colorful, interesting and attractive antique Novelty postcards that capture the classic look that was used back in the early 1900s. These are unique antique postcards that will keep their value. Overall, a nice selection of antique novelty postcards that are attractively designed!
