Description: "Meet the Robinsons" Red Pencil Concept Drawing Science Fair in Gym Disney 2007 "Meet the Robinsons" Red Pencil Concept Drawing Science Fair in Gym Disney 2007 Click images to enlarge Description Meet the Robinsons - original red pencil concept layout drawing of the gymnasium set up for the science fair in which Lewis Robinson showed his first time machine, drawn by Tom Shannon for the production of the 2007 Walt Disney animated feature film Meet the Robinsons, drawn on a 17 by 12 1/2 inch sheet of trace animation paper, in near excellent condition. Tom Shannon worked at Disney for over 20 years as a layout artist in story development, He was a visual development artist on this film and responsible for designing the interior rooms of the orphanage and the school gym where the science fair was held. The drawing is probably one of the first complete sketches of the gym interior that he created. Later, either he or one of the background artists added details and refined the image. I have attached a Xerox copy of the refined image. When you buy the drawing you will also receive the Xerox copy, which is slightly smaller that the pencil drawing. Tom Shannon's job was normally to develop story details including the design of details in characters and architectural backgrounds before the final script was approved and animation began. He worked on many Disney films including Aladdin, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Lion King, and Mulan. This drawing comes from an estate sale of Tom Shannon held several years ago. Condition: Used Condition Notes: The drawing is worn along the bottom edge and has a few minor pieces of paper missing.
