Description: Medieval style handmade costume. Brocade silk Bliaut robe with a green/aqua/yellow color shift. Lined with peach/pink linen, sleeves are long like Merlin. Try not to trip on them! Neckline is keyhole style with the same linen as the inner lining. Based on 14th century historical pattern. Excuse the wrinkles, it just needs to be steamed or ironed. This dress/robe is meant to pull over a linen kirtle. Structure is form-fitting after tightened laces. There is lacing on the sides to tighten, using D rings for loops. The lacing thread is cotton string. It’s not very visible with the sleeves being so large, so it’s somewhat decorative. Can be replaced with a cotton or linen ribbon or cotton tape for organic material. Smallest point is the waist, about 30” when loosened. A girdle belt would make a nice accessory. Bust is 38” but May more comfortably fit 36”. *Please note that this is a handmade item, which means there may be small imperfections but should have no affect on the integrity of the garment.
