Description: A rare find I’m very excited to offer – this Midcentury Modern /late 20thC Howard Miller Clock made in the USA. Uses one AA battery and it works! (see video). Exaggerated orange metal clock hands against black metal face with large modern font numbers. Fantastic and in great condition rattan ring surrounds the clock. The metal back is securely attached to the ring with 8 metal screws –well set. George Nelson designed this iconic 1960s-70s wall clock, Model 517 made at the Howard Miller facility in Zeeland, Michigan. The mechanism is marked Takane made in USA Quartz. 1.5V (AA battery). The clock has its original manufacturer sticker. Diameter 13.5” ; Number height 2.5” Condition: I have done a light cleaning of this piece but believe some of the marks on the clockface are dirt/grime. Some minor areas of discoloration on the face particularly between the 3 and the 6. Some minor spots of wear on the varnish of the rattan. This RARE classic midcentury piece is in good vintage condition. PLEASE review the photos and the video as they are an important part of the description. This piece is sold as is.
