Description: This vintage Frankoma casserole dish is a beautiful addition to any Mid-Century Modern kitchen. The round, brown stoneware ceramic dish has a 2 qt capacity and measures 10 inches in length, 7.5 inches in width, and 3 inches in depth. It stands about 5 inches tall. It features open handles, a flat bottom, and comes with a lid. The dish is made of red clay from Sapulpa, Oklahoma and is oven-safe. The prairie-colored brown 2-tone glazes on the dish give it a glossy finish. The pattern, introduced in 1948, costs $2 at the time of production. This original piece of art pottery was manufactured in the United States between 1950-1959. It bears an impressed backstamp and belongs to the 5V - 2 Qt Baker Model product line. This was manufactured in Sapulpa as can be identified from the red clay found in the area starting in the early '50's. There once was an option to buy a ceramic warmer stand for it. This is in beautiful condition. No chips or cracks. -242947
