Similar to the Duvell Elite in just about every way, the Duvell Elite Pro adds a locking nut and Schaller locking tremolo to add a different dimension to this powerhouse and give you ultimate tremolo flexibility. This one also features a phenomenal 4A Curly Poplar top. The Curly Poplar is a new choice we opted for on some of the recent Duvells we've been getting in, and it looks absolutely incredible - almost like a halfway of eye poplar and highly-figured quilted maple. The construction, build of the neck and overall craftsmanship allow for stupidly-low action. The addition of the floating bridge and allows you to whammy and dive-bomb all night long while knowing that you're always going to snap right back into tune without fail. The custom-wound, Mayones-exclusive Bare Knuckle TKO pickup set, while designed for high-gain chug, surprised the players here at the shop with their awesome clarity on clean settings, especially with the coil-split on the volume control. Of course, the TKOs excelled the most at distorted riffage, and we were very pleased with how both single notes and chords sounded huge without getting muddy. A simple master volume control (with push/pull coil-splitting capability) makes this a straightforward scythe that always sounds great and won't leave you with any hand fatigue after long sessions or shows.
