Description: Offering a rare fish sculpture by Mauro Manetti.From information I have been able to find on some MM sites, this is a rare sculpture from the 1970's era of a Sea Robin or Rascasse fish.The sculpture is a collectors item of mid-century Italian design.It measures approx. 15 3/4" long, approx. 7" wide and 9" tall.The condition and patina of the piece is consistent with the age.Marked on the underneath side as shown in pictures 19 & 20.The main thing is see is on the backside where the 2 metal rods protrude (assume they are more for balance) one of the rods is not there and this shows on the underneath as there is just a small hole where it was originally located. See pictures 16 & 22.While this defect exists, the fish sculpture displays wonderfully and is basically not noticed except when looking at it from the underneath side.
