Maurice Williams/The Zodiacs Stay Old Goldie Records 203 Audio Matrix Repress G+

Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single by Maurice Williams/The Zodiacs titled "Stay b/w Do You Believe", originally released in 1960 by Herald Records, then reissued by Old Goldie Records. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is machine stamped "Audio Matrix" in italics, indicating that the record was lacquered at Audio Matrix, located in The Bronx, New York, before this single was made. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Good Plus because of sleeve marks and hairline surface scratches, along with a oval shaped vinyl bump that can be felt with a fingertip. I'm play grading this single between Good and Very Good, for a composite grading of Good Plus, because of surface noise on both sides and ticking at the end of Side Two, along with 10 seconds of rotational thumps on both side due to the vinyl bump, none of which over-powers the vocals or music. It plays all the way through without any skips or lock-ups from start to finish. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection.
