Description: Maurice de Vlaminck ( 1876-1958 ) was a member of the Fauves ( Wild Beasts ) inParis known for their bright colors and strong images. This etching of a Parisian street expresses that feeling in line and composition. Theimpression is strong and dark. The image is 9 7/8" x 12 7/8" on laid paper 15 1/8" x 12 1/4".It is signed in the print. The etching is in a hand-made, linen-covered matte and backed withan acid-free, museum board. The frame is 17 1/2" x 20 1/2". I replaced the original glass witha sheet of acrylic. Total weight is 3 lbs 4 oz. Condition is excellent.
