Description: These RCA 5963 tubes test: 80-82/50 86-80/50 on my TV-7D tester (calibrated 1/27/24). Brand new tubes should test 77-77/50 or higher. Tested for shorts, emission, gas and noise. The 5963 tube is closely equivalent to the 12AU7/ECC82. They have red tips, foil square getters and long plates. They are closely matched and lightly used with plenty of good remaining life. The red tips generally denote specially selected tubes for more critical applications. Their branding is partially worn off hut mostly intact. Both have the marking “ZD” which I believe is because these may have been for the military. One is dated 59-52, or December of 1959. The other is missing a date code but otherwise the same.
