Description: On offer today is an absolute power house of a water jar by one of the former living national treasures of Bizen, Fujiwara Kei. Perhaps one of the most faithful modern interpretations of Ko-Bizen ware, this price has it all - bold form with delicious clay flavor and an incredibly fine firing resulting in a dazzling array of color. Not much more to be said, really, I'll let the pics do the talking. Measures 18cm high by 20cm wide, there are some stable hairlines on the body that appear to have occured during the rigorous firing, but they in no way detract from the beauty of this monumental achievement. Includes the original box and cloth, the yellow ribbon suggesting this piece saw use with the Omotesenke school of tea. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional pics, thanks for looking!
