She was a pioneer in the American film industry, with a Hollywood career that spanned five decades. An astute businesswoman, Pickford became her own producer within three years of her start in features. H. G. Rosebaum,was the manager of the Progressive Movie Picture Co, which dealt with the distribution on the West Coast of a combination of Artcraft and Paramount Pictures (which had Mary Pickford nder contrat). An internet copy of the the Town Crier fom Oct 27, 1917 from Seattle with an article on Rosebaum will be included. He apparently was also the branch manager. District No. 9 includes all the Pacific coast states of the Famous Players- Lasky Co. The image has a 1 ¾ tear top center. The image has been mounted, probably after the tear as the mounting board on back is sound. The inscription portion is a tad faded, or rather is not highlighted as much due to the grey background.
