Surprisingly more substance than kitsch, his albums are, of course, highly entertaining, with their signature bird calls and other aural/visual stimuli (including a series of great covers with model Sandy Warner in an assortment of wigs). The highly percussive AFRO-DESIA is one of his best efforts, with the added three-dimensional attraction of the Randy Horne Singers.
