Description: Up for sale here is a product you can find nowhere else. I am the exclusive outlet for these custom made very high quality reproduction faceplates for Marshall metal face and Plexi amplifiers,in the JMP series, as made by Marshall from 1967 thru about 1980. This listing is specifically for the front panel for the Marshall JTM45. Please check my other listings for other variants of both front and rear JMP metal face panels. (Right now I have limited listings but stock some models not listed. Contact me with your requests, I may have it.) These panels are a bit thicker than the originals, at 0.040 inches thickness. This creates no issues at all with installation of anything including the Cliff input and speaker jacks. (You may wish to thin out a fiber washer a little bit but I have found that it isn't necessary.) They are CNC punched and digitally printed with highly accurate graphics. The font types used and the font sizes, spacing, and locations have been carefully matched to original panels as much as has been possible. I personallydevelop the artwork and have spent a long time getting it as authentic as possible. This is guaranteed to fit only to authentic Marshall JTM45s and is intended only to be used for restoring a Marshall JTM45. Whether it fits aftermarket/clone/replica chassis, I do not know or guarantee. This is a true PLEXI panel (actually Lexan polycarbonatelike the originals) and the gold is bronze powder paint, which Marshall stopped using in late 1969. Since then, nobody else to my knowledge has gone to the effort to make replica panels with authentic bronze powder paint. What does bronze powder paint mean? It means that the panel will age and respond to the environment in an authentic manner, just like the originals. If you spill your beer on the amp and the faceplate gets wet, the bronze powder paint may turn green as the copper in it corrodes, just like originals will. Be aware that the paint layer is fairly easy to chip off. Handle the panel with care when installing it. I do not recommend using adhesives, and take it easy on torquing down the jack nuts that hold it in place, too. You will be receiving a perfect new example, not one of the two pictured examples which have paint chips. I charge 75 dollars for metal panels, and 85 for plexi panels because there is much more work in making a plexi panel, but I don't charge more for bronze paint even though it costs me more. I do this because it's a passion of mine, and I try to keep prices reasonable. This is not something I'm doing to get rich, I just want it to be a hobby that pays its own costs. I am currently only making replacement panels for Marshalls from the late 60s to the early 80s. Price on this panel is $85.00 plus actual shipping cost.
