The prayer book which was purchased in 2014 by Western Australian collector, Kerry Stokes, is an early 16th century book of hours owned for many years by the famous Rothschild family and is one of the finest illuminated manuscripts in private hands. It originated in Ghent in the Netherlands, and contains artworks by some of the most renowned illuminators of the early 1500's including the painter Gerard David.
