I imagine the seat will get a bit softer over time. A few people mentioned the chair tilted too much. But this feature is highly adjustable with the knob on the underside of the chair. It did take about 20 turns to get it loose enough for my taste. The furniture in my house is mostly mid-century modern, and this fits in nicely. It reminds me of my childhood in the 70’s. I was hesitant to purchase this particular color of upholstery because, in my opinion, the photo on the website isn’t good and doesn’t don the chair justice. It looks like it was taken under bad lighting conditions... almost makes the upholstery look like it has a hint of pink, and the wood has a yellow look. In reality the wood looks like a very ‘normal’ shade of oak, and the upholstery is a medium brown with woven threads of lighter and darker brown. I couldn’t be happier with the upholstery color. Assembly was quick, I did it by myself.
