Manuel Nuñez Signed, Framed, XL RARE & ORIGINAL Painting with Gold Leaf

Description: Manuel Nunez has been called one of America's most promising contemporary painters. He has developed a body of fine art that captures both the contemporary and timeless spirit of women. In the artist's words, “My images are of strong women: beautiful, but not exploited, sensual and virtuous, wrestling with the underlying conflict over what life is versus what it should be.” Nunez taught at both the Otis Parsons Institute in Los Angeles, and the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, which he also attended. His return to the fine arts follows a highly successful career as a designer and commercial art director. Manuel's trademark is the use of 23 carat gold leaf in his artwork. As well as imparting richness and drama to his pieces, the gold has symbolic significance to the artist. Up for sale is a very rare example of Manuel Nunez's original art. This piece, entitled "Goodbye USSR" has been reproduced in limited edition prints or cibachromes. It is a mixed media on paper with hand applied 23K gold leaf. The painting is 50" x 28" and has been framed with a floating mount in a 59 1/2" x 38" x 3" shadowbox frame. The surrounding mat is done in museum quality archival paper. This 1991 piece is an example of his early work, which has been compared to the artist, Patrick Nagel.It is signed by the artist and has the MN monogram, an indicator of an original work. The owner has contacted the artist to confirm that this painting is original. Manuel Nunez's prints can sell for thousands of dollars.
